iNACOL WEBINAR TO PROVIDE TOOLS AND GUIDANCE FOR K-12 ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAMS

The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) will host a webinar on Tuesday, March 6, to help teachers, administrators and other professionals in K-12 education who are interested in establishing online and blending learning programs in their schools.

The webinar, “Starting an Online or Blended Learning Program: Key Issues for Beginners,” will provide superintendents, principals, educational technology directors and others in the field, who are planning new programs or in the very early stages of program development, with an overview of the tools and resources needed to implement online and blended learning.

“There are several key factors that school districts and systems should consider when laying the groundwork for an online or blended learning program,” said Susan Patrick, President and CEO of iNACOL.  “Everything from stakeholder involvement, to clearly identifying educational goals, instructional staffing, evaluation, budgeting, curriculum choices, administrative systems, quality assurance, state and district policies, and student services must be reviewed to ensure that students have access to the quality programs they need to help them succeed.”

Led by the Evergreen Education Group’s Chris Rapp and Butch Gemin, along with Justin Schmitt, principal of Southwest Colorado eSchool, the webinar will focus on providing a framework for schools and districts to consider when implementing blended learning and online programs, and will provide participants with examples of successful models and valuable insights.
