Taste, a fundraising food event for the Kidney Foundation, featuring some of the best cuisine, culture and couture Chattanooga has to offer, will take place at Warehouse Row on Thursday, from 5-9 p.m.
With a $35 advance ticket ($40 at the door), guests will enjoy unlimited sampling from over 20 locally-owned and operated restaurants plus one drink ticket to be used for beer, wine or other non-alcoholic beverages. Liquor will be available at a cash bar.
In the spirit of all things food, a chef competition will be a highlight of eye-catching events. The competition, from 7-8 p.m., will include four Chattanooga chefs competing to create a gourmet dish using one secret ingredient provided by Greenlife Grocery. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges to receive a prize at the end of the evening.
Taste consists of a variety of local flavor ranging from the familiar, like Marco’s Italian Bistro, Sticky Fingers or Niko’s Southside Grill to the exotic Sitar Indian Cuisine or Brewhaus, a German-American “gastro pub.”
Local jazz guitarist, John Cady, will provide musical entertainment, and strolling models will wear fashions provided by Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry.
With restaurants, live music, drinks and flair, Warehouse Row will be transformed into a hotspot for Chattanooga citizens looking for an upscale night on the town.
Organizers said, “This event is not all for fun. Taste will provide financial support for programs and services to area kidney patients, keeping all funds raised from participants and donors, right here in our own city.”
